  
Introduction: An exciting opportunity exists for an Electronics Engineer with industry experience of IC / Mixed Signal design. Candidates must gain Security Clearance before starting. Proven experience of IC Design is required. Job Specification: This client designs and manufactures a wide range of infra-red detectors for space, military and civil markets. The applications of these detectors include Earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems and laboratory equipment. A vacancy has arisen within the Research and Development department for a mixed signal IC design electronics engineer. This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Research and Development IC design team to provide design expertise and support to the growing mixed signal IC design needs. Working by yourself or openly as part of a team, you should be able to demonstrate strong analogue micro-electronics or mixed signal CMOS IC design and verification skills. Successful applicants are likely to have experience from across the whole IC design lifecycle, from requirements capture to tape out, working at transistor, cell or block level or completing simulation, hook up and extended verification tasks. The applicant should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and will be able to show an innovative approach to design, analysis and problem solving to rapidly produce accurate design solutions to project deadlines and budget.
